What are Page Credits?

When you add papers or documents to a project, Lateral processes them to make the content searchable and suggestible. Each page uses 1 page credit. Deleting documents does not return credits as processing is already done. The free plan offers a one-time credit allocation, while paid plans provide monthly credits.

Does Lateral use GPT?

No, Lateral does not use GPT. It uses its own proprietary machine learning technology (LIP API) for content suggestions, and user content is not sent to OpenAI servers.

What happens to the documents I upload to Lateral?

Uploaded documents remain private to your workspace and are not shared with other users. Lateral does not use your documents to train its AI models.

What languages does Lateral support?

The app works best with English. While you can perform keyword searches in other languages, the AI-powered content suggestions currently only function for English text.

Does Lateral work on mobile?

Currently, Lateral is only available for use on desktop computers.
