An active AI Agent is an AI Agent that can be embedded on a website or other interface (WhatsApp, SMS) or the OpenDialog API. If an Agent is not active they can be tested and previewed through the OpenDialog workspace.

What are steps and active steps?

A step is an OpenDialog unit of measuring AI Agent activity and represents work that OpenDialog Agent Orchestration engine is performing. This includes interpreting user utterances with classifiers, executing LLM actions, executing API actions, calls to knowledge services for RAG. An active step is a step that is taken by an active AI agent – you will only be charged for active steps.

What is a token?

A token is the unit of consumption of LLM capability. We offer unlimited LLM tokens under the OpenDialog managed keys for GPT-4o-mini and 2 million tokens per month for GPT-4o. You can also bring your own account keys and in enterprise plans or dedicated hosting plans we can flexibly configure OpenDialog for use with your own models.

What data do you refer to as 'knowledge data'?

Knowledge data refers to space that RAG embeddings occupy on our vector database. 100mb of embeddings is roughly 4000 pages of text. In case you are wondering how much that is – it is the equivalent of War and Peace and entire Lord of the Rings books combined, or two sets of Encyclopedia Brittanica!

When will I be billed?

Billing is monthly once you’ve upgrade to a Build or Scale plan. No billing if you stay on the Experiment plan although we periodically scan for inactive Experiment workspaces and will send you a friendly email to see if you still need it before deactivating.
